Influenced by her colourful South African/ Dutch roots, Yolanda uses her own unique, flamboyant outfits, language and modalities to model and inspire women to discover and craft expanded and compelling versions of themselves, starting in their wardrobe. Yolanda started her working career in the PR industry.
At age 23 she started her own agency, clinching the contract to launch Virgin Atlantic Airways into South Africa. Thereafter she landed many premium and well known brands including the premium beer brands of South African Breweries, Camel, Thornybush Game Lodge and ADT. When she started her family, she moved with her husband and four children to Belgium and then to the UK. Throughout this time she was constantly updating her knowledge of online marketing, e-commerce and social media, working and learning from all the established industry leaders. In her spare time, she dabbled in retail and e-commerce by making and marketing beeswax wraps and fruit cordial. She also created websites for her children's school and friends, thoroughly enjoying the experience of learning something completely foreign to her creative brain! She also developed her love for fashion and style, and started helping friends and family find joy in their wardrobes. No life is trouble-free however, and after finding herself feeling lost in herself and homesick, one day she decided she didn't want her children growing up with a depressed mother. This lead to another decision that changed her life: she would accept nothing less going forward then to look fabulous, feel fabulous and do fabulous things. This was the start of Fabulosity. Since then, she has written a book (Look, Feel & Age Fabulous), created a podcast (Fabulous To Meet You), and now her greatest joy now is to spread her message that no matter what age or stage you're at in life, you too can inject the spirit and energy of 'fabulous' into everything you do.
