TIME TO LEARN TO LIVE
I want you and me to feel like we can do anything.
I want us to feel bold, strong, vital, relevant, worthy, visible, special, unstoppable.
No matter what’s happened to us.
Because of what’s happened to us.
I want us to know the difference between what’s important and what’s not. And why.
Your weight is not important.
Unless it’s affecting your health. If it’s affecting your health, do something about it.
If it’s not, your weight has nothing to do with feeling all the beautiful things mentioned in the opening sentence! It really doesn’t.
Your age is not important. Stop complaining about it and stop seeing it as an obstacle to your dreams.
Your age is only important for the fact that the older you are, the more awesome experiences (good and bad) you’ve had which is a privilege denied to many who have passed on prematurely.
We are watching a fabuloso Italian series where the main character - an inspector - said the most profound thing.
He was mentoring a young boy who had just failed a test. He said to the boy, let’s go out and celebrate.
The young boy said what must we celebrate. I just failed my test.
The inspector replied: if you can celebrate the bad things in life, you’ve learned to really live.
I want to really live.
