Fabulous To Meet You is a fresh, fun interview series where Yolanda chats to fabulous people she knows nothing about - having seen or heard something about them that tweaked her interest, or who were nominated by someone else as a fabulous persona.

As the Queen of Fabulocity, Yolanda is on a mission to highlight that FABULOUS comes in all shapes, sizes and guises.  She not only wants to inspire listeners to lean into their own fabulocity, but also to model how easy it is to meet fascinating new people and help to combat global loneliness.​

INNOVATIVE IDEA

This is a refreshingly unique entrant to the Podcast/ Interview space, offering podcast guests and their nominators an interesting platform for uncontrived exposure to an intrigued, curious audience.

WHAT DOES FABULOUS MEAN
The interview - known affectionately as a Fabulista - could be doing something amazing in the world, or starting something awesome. She may have an incredible story to tell, or she has a fabulous style. Perhaps she's on a mind-blowing mission, or she's been on a crazy, life-changing journey. She might have found out/ invented something new, survived an ordeal or, you name it.

If the Fabulista is a coach or service provider, she probably needs to
have a practical case study/ catchy process or something tangible/ event
to talk about, not just the service she is providing.

HOW IT WORKS

ZOOM WITH CAMERA
The Interviews will be held with camera on, on Zoom, and then posted on You Tube and a soon-to-be-announced Podcast Platform.

​WHAT'S YOUR FABULOUS?
If you (male or female) have a female someone in mind who you think is fabulous for whatever reason, Yolanda would love to chat to her in the interview series.   We invite you to nominate your Fabulista through the Nomination Form below.  To be nominated does not mean your Fabulista will automatically be selected.  If you have not heard back from us that means your nomination has been unsuccessful, but please don't take it personally.  Feel free to nominate again with a different angle, or new nominee.

Yolanda will only be interviewing women but men can also nominate.

TOP FIVE FAVOURITE THINGS
As part of the show, Yolanda will ask the Fabulista her TOP FIVE FABULOUS THINGS which she should have prepared beforehand.  These can be absolutely anything and we ask that you are creative here.

SOME IDEAS FOR YOUR TOP FIVE FABULOUS THINGS 
A Fabulous Thing could be a special memory, inspirational person, a particular ghost story, an activity close to your heart, your ideal car, a plant that changed your life, your favourite carnivore, an extinct species that intrigues you, particular sounds that reminds you of happy occasion, a special jewellery piece with a story, an eccentric grandparent, all time best movie, your favourite clothing item, unique egg recipe, a painting that turns you on, a moment in time, a moment in history, a moment in your own life, the best fashion era, your favourite shoe type, a memorable biscuit flavour, a funny event that happened, Italian city, an artist you love, aspiration, your best day out ever …

This is Yolanda's Top Five Fabulous Things:
Bellgables restaurant (South Africa), San Remo (most fabulous girls trip destination in Italy), feeding my cat Dreamies, meeting my kids for the first time when they were born, my Renault cabriolet car (in South Africa), relocating family groups of elephants as part of my PR job in the 90s.

This idea of 'TOP FIVE FABULOUS THINGS' is modelled on the song 'My Favourite Things' from the Sound of Music (slightly adapted here just for fun)  

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woollen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my FABULOUS things

Cream-coloured ponies and crisp apple strudels
Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my FABULOUS things

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver-white winters that melt into springs

FORMAT OF THE SHOW

Yolanda will chat with her Fabulista, as if they've just randomly met at a party. The conversation will flow casually and spontaneously, with Yolanda asking the questions. Casually in the conversation, she will ask why the Fabulista was nominated.

Somewhere in the interview, Yolanda will ask about the TOP FIVE FABULOUS THINGS, and might also spontaneously ask about other fabulous things like 'what's your most fabulous male actor' or 'your most fabulous movie'.

​In the last five minutes of the show, Yolanda will invite the nominator onto the show as well, to hear how they both met or, if they haven't met, to give them the opportunity to express their appreciation for the Fabulista.
